The chain Domino’s Pizza has three points of sale in Caen (). This Monday, December 2, 2024, a poster indicates in the front of the pizzeria located rue de Bayeux, not far from the former remand center: “Your Domino's Pizza is temporarily closed. »

A trash fire spread to the building

And for good reason, the building attached to the restaurant was ravaged by fire. This one declared in the night from Sunday 1st to this Monday, December 2. Firefighters responded after 1 a.m. to a “trash fire”.

According to them, it spread to the “garage” and the “courtyard”, adjacent to the pizzeria. Of this wing, only the charred framework and skeletons of scooters remained this Monday.

Customers sent back to the east of Caen

From rue de Bayeux, the restaurant room, with the ovens behind the counter, does not seem to be affected. This is confirmed by firefighters from the Caen-Couvrechef and Ifs emergency centers: “The rapid action made it possible to stop the spread at the store. »

No one was injured in the fire of unknown origin.

Until further notice, Domino's Pizza is sending its customers to its address on Avenue Clémenceau, which is still under construction.
