The 38e edition of the Telethon ended, Saturday November 30, 2024, after thirty hours of collection broadcast on television. The French were there for this charitable event: nearly 80 million euros in donations were recorded during these two days. And in Brittany? This year, the Bretons mobilized widely, with 1.7 million euros collected to help research into myopathies and other neuromuscular genetic diseases. A figure up compared to 2023, where 1.5 million euros in donations were recorded.

Finistère, the most generous department
In detail, it is Finistère which donated the most this year, among the Breton departments, with €531,723 collected. It is followed by Ille-et-Vilaine (€482,460), Morbihan (€412,592) and finally Côtes-d'Armor (€412,592). A result which can be explained by the designation of Quimper as ambassador for this 2024 edition, among the four French cities selected.
