Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, an ally of Hezbollah, on Monday accused Israel of “blatant violation” of the ceasefire with the pro-Iranian movement, after Israeli strikes targeted an army post and a border village.
In a statement, Berri, who played a leading role in the negotiations leading to the truce, said Israel had violated at least 54 times
the ceasefire agreement entered into force on November 27.
He called on the committee overseeing the truce, which includes the United States and France, to urgently take action and force Israel to stop its violations and withdraw
of Lebanese territory.

Bombings continue despite truce
Several Israeli strikes have targeted Lebanon since the ceasefire came into force between Israel and Hezbollah, which for its part has not announced a response.
On Monday, an Israeli drone targeted a Lebanese army post in Hermel, a region of the Bekaa plain in eastern Lebanon, far from the border with Israel, injuring one soldier, according to the 'army.
A man was also killed by an Israeli drone strike on the village of Marjeyoun near the border in southern Lebanon, the Health Ministry said.
The national information agency (Ani, official) specified that the man was riding a motorcycle.
