The mystery remains surrounding the disappearance of Morgane Rivoal, 13 years old, reported missing since Monday November 25. The teenager, living in Pabu, did not return to her Albert Camus college in Graces that day. This Monday, December 2, a week after the events, the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, Nicolas Heitz, must hold a press conference at 4 p.m. at the Saint-Brieuc court to take stock of the investigation.

“Morgane's classmates explained that they had seen a story about Morgane on the networks over the weekend, indicating that she would not go to school on Monday. Morgane may have been led to get in touch with older individuals, met on social networks and who do not all live in the region or department. These people were interviewed, their homes searched, but no convincing evidence made it possible to locate the young girl,” explains the prosecutor.

4:20 p.m.: An addiction to the phone and social networks

“Morgane used several accounts on social networks. A tennis coach had noticed an addiction to the phone and a certain isolation in her. She told him that she had been the victim of harassment last year. »

4:18 p.m.: A reserved and shy young girl, according to her classmates

“Morgane was able to make worrying comments, and could experience real discomfort, with classmates talking about scarifications that she allegedly inflicted on herself,” explains the prosecutor.

4:15 p.m.: “Dad, Mom, sorry, I’m leaving”

After the argument over Morgane's use of social media, her father threw her phone to the ground and retrieved her SIM card. “A crumpled paper was discovered in the basket in Morgane’s room,” explains the prosecutor, with this word written on it: “Dad, mom, sorry, I’m leaving.”

“The bus driver never saw Morgane arrive. He was surprised and even waited a few minutes before starting, as he confirmed to us during his hearing,” specifies the prosecutor.

“I want to respect the privacy of Morgane and her family, so this press conference will not be followed by questions, for this reason,” explains the prosecutor, who begins by recalling the facts since the start of the case. “I salute the citizen movement which was formed for this research, and the mobilization of the gendarmes”.
