Around 1:30 a.m., this Saturday, November 30, 2024, the firefighters were called to a traffic accident, on the D183 in the town of Surzur (Morbihan), for a motorcycle accident.
Car seen fleeing
At first, the emergency services thought that the 21-year-old moped rider had fallen alone on the road. However, according to the gendarmerie, given the violence of the impact, they immediately concluded that the young man had been hit by a vehicle. Witnesses reportedly saw a car fleeing.
A man arrested
The young man lived in Surzur, with his maternal grandparents, not far from the scene of the accident. He was returning from work, in a fast-food restaurant in Vannes. Rescued in serious condition, he was finally declared dead by the emergency doctor. During the rescue operation, the main road was closed to traffic. In the middle of the morning, the man suspected of being the driver of the car, also Surzurois, was arrested. He is currently being questioned by the gendarmerie services.
