Creations, talents, recycling, short circuit. This is how the Braderie de l'Art is defined, which will take place in Roubaix on the weekend of December 7 and 8. An unmissable event, since 1991, for creators of all kinds!
In fact, there will be 150 of them coming from the four corners of France. We will notably be able to see the sculptor Francisco Mazurenko, the street artist Eugène Barricade, Sara Alfonso who uses the cyanotype technique, the illustrator Magali Dulain, the designers Duo ZS and even the visual artist Pauline Angotti.
2,000 m³ of recycled materials
More than a clearance sale, the works will be created live, from more than 2,000 m3 recycled materials and objects, from local businesses, collected during the year and made available to the artists. “Recycled materials and objects are transformed live into works of art, design objects of all kinds. Prices are between 1 and 400 euros. They are set by the artists themselves, but also a little with the public”explains the organizing association, Art Point M.
Because that is the principle: the public comes to meet the artist who explains his approach. Both can exchange and bargain. “The Braderie de l’Art has always been a huge, noisy and joyful temporary workshop: it welds, it grinds, it paints, it sprays, it saws… All this live,” we add. A must see!
