On Friday, November 22, at 10:14 p.m., police officers went to Acadie Avenue, in Dieppe, where an attempted robbery with a firearm had occurred.

According to RCMP reports, when police arrived on scene, the three suspects had already fled in a black 2007 Honda Civic. Officers then learned that the firearm had been discharged during the the incident.

The victim of the attempted robbery was injured, but these were minor injuries, not caused by the discharge of the firearm. She was treated at the scene.

During the investigation, police determined that the victim knew all three suspects and that this was an isolated incident.

Police quickly found the Honda in the area of ​​Fairview Knoll’s Park, where it had been involved in a traffic accident. The three suspects were arrested without incident. A 29-year-old man was later released until his court appearance.

On Sunday, Ryan Marr-Melanson, 33, and Maxime Inder, 34, both from Dieppe, appeared in Moncton provincial court and were charged with robbery with a firearm. Both were returned to custody.

On Tuesday, the two appeared again in Moncton provincial court. Ryan Marr-Melanson was charged with failing to stop for police and several firearms offences. Maxime Inder has been charged with several firearms offences. Both were remanded into custody until their next appearance.
