The main news:
They caused major slowdowns in the morning, before attacking the MSA headquarters. Yesterday, Catalan farmers demonstrated in Perpignan. Received by the Prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales at midday, the representatives of the FDSEA and Young Farmers judged that the announcements made to them were insufficient.
As a result, tractors and other agricultural machinery targeted the Catalan headquarters of the Mutuelle Sociale Agricole in the afternoon. “We are taken for idiots even though we are dying,” said Jean Henric, departmental president of the Young Farmers union.
He pointed out the support funds provided for emergency situations which they consider too weak in view of the difficulties encountered by farmers in this department hit hard by drought and bluetongue this year.
VTC drivers begin a snail operation in Toulouse
Another mobilization which should have a significant impact this morning, that of Toulouse VTC drivers. A snail operation is planned between Sesquières, where they will leave, and the Allées Jean-Jaurès, in the city center.
They plan to park on the driveways until one of their representatives is received at the Prefecture, around 10 a.m. They are demanding, as at the beginning of the month, a numerus clausus to limit the number of drivers working in the area. An increase in their price per kilometer is also requested.
