Corporate social responsibility (CSR) will be imposed over the coming years on all companies, including individuals, on all players in the social and solidarity economy (associations, cooperatives), public bodies and local authorities.
For around fifteen years, laws have established obligations in social and environmental matters and this continues.
Some of the obligations already imposed on companies with 0 to 100 employees
But it turns out that many companies do CSR like Monsieur Jourdain did prose, without knowing it. Because every successful business leader applies good practices! And these good practices are CSR! Or, Currently, CSR goes beyond existing laws. Hence the idea launched by the association Pimao.
The CSR Initiatives Trophy in Armagnac
The association Pimao set itself the mission of: “Living better in this country in this changing world”.
Pimao, in agreement with the political and economic actors of the Country of Armagnac (1) on this question of CSR, joined forces with Karin Boras, pioneer of CSR for 22 years and deputy director of the chair Governance and CSR at Le Mans University.
Their goal? Launch a Trophy project aimed at helping business leaders highlight their actions in favor of one of the following three areas:
-
societal (relations with customers, suppliers, civil society)
-
social (working conditions, fight against discrimination, job management)

We know that these are the areas of CSR.
To do this, le CSR Initiatives Trophy in Armagnac is launched. The call for applications deadline is already running! It runs from November 22 to December 24, 2024. Several Trophies will be awarded to the winners on Thursday March 23, 2025.

In 2011, the European Commission defined corporate social responsibility as “the responsibility of companies with regard to the effects exerted on society”.
