This case echoes current events, as eight people have appeared before the special assize court of Paris since Monday, November 4, as part of the trial for the assassination of Professor Samuel Paty.
A teacher from the Rempart-Vinci high school in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) filed a complaint against X on Monday, November 25, for death threats. According to Le Figaro which reveals this information, at least one participant in a group on the social network Snapchat, named “Rampart 5”, proposed to “shoot down” the professor and his son. Threats mentioned in a screenshot of the group, of which the teacher became aware.
The latter would have reacted during class, in connection with a climate of “racism, anti-Semitism, conspiracy and negationism” in one of his classes, according to his own testimony.
