Playing on PC rather than console can have several advantages. Depending on the configuration chosen and performance, graphics are generally higher quality, loading times are shorter, and frame rates are faster. This allows you to enjoy open world titles like Star Wars Outlaws in optimal conditions. But the PC can also have its faults, brought to light during the installation of certain Windows updates.
Unable to start or load a Star Wars Outlaws save game due to an update
Deployed at the beginning of October 2024 and gradually, Windows 11 24H2 update aroused the annoyance of players, but also of other users. In fact, many of them have suffered from numerous problems since its installation. These range from from deleting certain applications to disappearing mouse cursors to SSD failures.
Or, Operational issues linked to this update also affect the most recent Ubisoft titles. Released on August 30, 2024, Star Wars Outlaws is the first concerned. Many users have shared their woes on social networks. The game may become impossible to launch, crash permanently, and even be impossible to close if problems arise mid-game.. But the most worrying thing is that Insiders had already noted problems with Ubisoft games during the testing phase of the update, in July 2024.
However, Ubisoft reacted quickly by releasing a patch dedicated to Star Wars Outlaws. In fact, there should no longer be any problems when launching the game or during a game. However, the bug would also affect other titles published by Ubisoft, namely Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Need for Speed: Unbound and Far Cry. If you want to enjoy these games, it is recommended to go back to Windows 11 update 23H2 while waiting for specific fixes.
