The Montreal Canadiens have been battered since the start of the season in all aspects of the game, whether offensive, defensive, special teams and physical.

The team is smaller than it once was, but the players are not paying the price and they are downright cautious.

One-on-one fights are very difficult and Martin St-Louis’ men rarely come out with the puck.

Add to that the fact that they almost never win faceoffs, it becomes very difficult to have possession of the puck.

The Canadian would give himself more chances of success by working harder in the corners instead of playing on the periphery.

As has been the case since his arrival in the NHL, Brendan Gallagher is an exception to the rule, he who always gives everything he has in every shift.

His heart is as big as the Bell Center, but he would need the help of a strong player and this player was available on waivers in Tim Gettinger.

However, Kent Hughes once again relied on patience and he did not ask for it.

He’s not the first forward who could fill a need that Kent Hughes is passing up.

The GM let Jakob Pelletier and Raphaël Lavoie go earlier this season, among others.

The 6′ 6′ colossus Tim Gettinger will have to report to the Detroit Red Wings farm club.

Even though his physique is very interesting, I agree with this decision.

On the other hand, I can’t wait for Kent Hughes to make a move and call back young people from who want to give of themselves and compete to replace those who don’t want to in Montreal.

I believe that Joshua Roy, Owen Beck, even Alex Barré-Boulet would deserve this chance instead of Christian Dvorak and Joel Armia, for example.
