After convincing victories against Rennes and Marseille, Auxerre made it three by winning against Angers (1-0)thanks to a goal in added time, this Sunday on the 12th day of Ligue 1.
Auxerre is looking upwards more than ever!
Pelissier time is back! As in his good time at the head of Amiens SC, Christophe Pelissier saw his team win in added time. At the end of a hotly contested match between two promoted players, Auxerre got the better of Angers thanks to a goal ofHamed Junior Traore at the end of added time. After a cross from Ki-Jana Hoever, the Burgundian striker shook the net with a cross header which left no chance for Yahia Fofana, the SCO goalkeeper.
Thanks to this fifth success of the season at home, the sixth in total, Auxerre provisionally joins the “top 6”, pending the last match of the day between Nice and Strasbourg, tied on points with Olympique Lyonnais and ahead of teams like Reims, Lens and Strasbourg. With 19 points, Christophe Pelissier's troop made a first hole in the red zone, now 9 points ahead of Nantes, the barrage.
