the building facing the station comes to life

Located opposite the station square and next to the Insa educational building, the imposing 2,500 m2 complex2 brings together the BeeLodge, a three-star hotel-restaurant with 75 rooms, a student residence with 96 housing units, 23 home ownership units, a Pokawa restaurant, the future Agglopolys mobility center and a medical analysis laboratory. A project estimated at more than ten million euros, work on which began in December 2021.

Projects still underway in the neighborhood

Four years later, the companies involved and the elected officials of the territory have all welcomed an architecture “subtle and successful” imagined by the Blésoise agency A26. The building will come like this “contribute to the dynamism of the station sector and contribute to the vitality of the region” according to Vincent Barraud, regional director of Linkcity.

As the president of Agglopolys, Christophe Degruelle, imagined, this real estate project resembles yet another “piece of a puzzle” who, alongside others, draws “a painting” which is gradually taking shape in the sector.

No doubt he is thinking of the other building located just behind, in rue Florimonde-de-, which will soon house the senior services residence of the Marignan group, with 109 apartments managed by Domitys, at “green lung” in the form of a 7,000 m wooded park2 between rue Jean-Moulin and rue de l'Usine à gaz planned for May 2025 or at the Insa gymnasium which should see the light of day on the other side of the railway in spring 2025.

The student residence facing Avenue du Docteur-Jean-Laigret, and containing 96 housing units, was named Denis-Papin.

« Grande satisfaction »

So many projects about which the mayor of Blois, Marc Gricourt, welcomed. “Launching a development study for the station district was one of my priorities after my election as mayor of Blois in 2008. Before, when we arrived by train, the urban area was fallow. It wasn't happy and it didn't give a good image of the territory. This is a great satisfaction and reinforces the quality of welcome for tourists and residents of the city. »

Before the feast, everyone was able to stroll through the corridors of the student residence, where all 96 accommodations have already found buyers (1). A plaque was then unveiled to officially rename the ensemble the Denis-Papin residence.
