The incident on the night of Saturday November 23 to Sunday November 24 (a crack on a bend in a pipe next to wharf 6 of the Donges refinery) closely resembles that of March 16, 2008. That day , two hundred tonnes of fuel escaped into the Loire estuary. The reason is mechanical: a failure of the waterproofing of a wharf.
