Toulouse: two teenagers in police custody after the murder of a 40-year-old man

Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 were in police custody on Sunday, suspected of being involved in the murder of a 40-year-old man on the night of Friday to Saturday near Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), according to the prosecution.

The prosecution also informed AFP that it plans to request their indictment from the investigating judge on Sunday evening.

Video surveillance images show the two young people chasing the victim, found stabbed to death, a few hours later in Blagnac, in the suburbs of Toulouse.

They also show that one of them returned to the place where the 40-year-old man died.

“The motive remains to be clarified,” said the prosecution. According to information from the Dispatch, the murder could be linked to a fight which broke out near the scene of the tragedy, between 2 and 3 a.m.

Indeed, the police had been called earlier for a brawl involving several people, Place de la Catalogne, reports France Bleu Occitanie, which also emphasizes that the victim could be homeless.
