After the Las Vegas Grand Prix played this Sunday, November 24, Formula 1 is now heading to the Middle East to compete in the Qatar Grand Prix, the 23rd and penultimate round of the 2024 F1 world championship.
The Qatar F1 Grand Prix 2024 is scheduled from next week, at the heart of a “triple header”, of November 29 to December 1, and will be contested in the sprint format, the last of the season.
In 2023, Oscar Piastri won his first Sprint race, while Max Verstappen became three-time World Champion. The next day, the Dutchman won the Grand Prix ahead of the two McLarens, respectively those of Piastri and Lando Norris.
This 2023 edition in Qatar was especially marked by particularly difficult weather conditions for the pilots, with high temperatures and humidity. Some drivers were on the verge of feeling unwell after the Grand Prix.
This season the Qatar Grand Prix is being held later in the year, which should help, while next season a cooling kit will be introduced in case of high heat.
