The more than two million proxy requests, the record vote of French people abroad, postponed vacations… Several signals suggest that participation in the first round of the legislative elections could be up sharply this Sunday, June 30. At midday in Maine-et-Loire, it is in any case increasing compared to Europeans (19.7%), but also compared to the 2022 election (21.42%).

Results published this evening

In the department, 27.9% of the 596,380 registered voters went to the polls, or 6.48 points more than two years ago, according to figures communicated by the prefecture.

In Angers, the City indicates that the participation rate stood at 11.72% at 10 a.m.

It remains to be seen who will benefit from this renewed interest in the vote. 45 candidates are competing for the seven constituencies.

All the results will be available on our site in the evening, also featuring a departmental and national live broadcast.
