Increase in gas prices

The benchmark gas sales price (PRVG) increased by 11.7% compared to the month of June. It nevertheless remains 4.70 euros lower compared to 1is last January. The average level of the PRVG will now be 129.20 euros per megawatt hour, according to a decision by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).

New savings plan for young people

The future climate savings plan (PEAC), reserved for under 21s, is available from Monday. The objective: “mobilize the savings of young people in favor of the ecological transition”, according to the Ministry of the Economy. If, as for the Livret A, its ceiling is set at 22,960 euros, its rate of remuneration will depend on the financial markets and will therefore not be set by the government.

Evolution of the DPE for certain housing

Change in calculation method for the energy performance diagnosis (DPE) which classifies homes from A to G according to their performance. Please note, only accommodation with a surface area of ​​40 square meters or less is concerned! According to Bercy, this development which comes into force this 1is July should bring a good number of small areas out of the “energy sieve” category.

New obligation on shrinkflation

To provide greater transparency to consumers, supermarkets are required to clearly indicate the upward price trend of products that have been reduced in quantity from Monday. This phenomenon is called shrinkflation (a contraction of “reduction” and “inflation”).

Change in the rules of police custody

New rules governing police custody come into force on Monday. The reform includes the mandatory presence of a lawyer to start a hearing, unless the person being questioned waives this. While this new measure divides police officers, France has no choice but to implement it, the aim being to comply with EU law.

Reform of rural revitalization zones

17,700 municipalities and 13 French departments are affected by a new zoning called “France ruralités revitalisation”, the objective of which is to strengthen the attractiveness of rural areas. Companies setting up in one of these zones will thus be able to benefit from tax and social security exemptions.
