Lucile Lecellier, 26, was elected Miss Normandy 2024 on Saturday. Originally from Manche, she will represent the region at the next Miss France competition which will take place at the end of the year.

She is the new Miss Normandy: Lucile Lecellier, 26, was crowned this Saturday, June 29, during the 2024 edition of the beauty contest which took place in Alençon, where she competed against 11 other candidates.

Originally from Sainte-Cécile near Villedieu-les-Poêles (Manche), she will therefore represent the region during the Miss France 2025 election, scheduled for next December, and will thus try to succeed Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024, who also awarded her prize to Lucile Lecellier.

“Simple girl”, student in child protection

During a live broadcast on Instagram on April 20 in which she answered questions from Internet users, Lucile Lecellier described herself in particular as “the simple girl”, “from the countryside”, who “likes to party with her friends”.

As a student, she is currently completing a course to become an educator specializing in child protection in Caen. “I knew I wanted to work in this field because I had professional experience before starting training, in a home that took in foster children. It wasn’t easy every day, it’s not a daily life where we smile 24/7 but, nonetheless, I shared the lives of these children for more than a year and I learned a lot from them,” she explains.

She said she subsequently “wondered how, on my scale, I could sow small seeds for their future to be better and for them to flourish.”

“I live my life as a Miss and a student in parallel: sometimes immersed in writing my dissertation, sometimes climbing on my 12 cm stilts for a Miss event: and I love this double life,” she explained in a post on Instagram on June 10.

First runner-up in 2021

Lucile Lecellier is not new to the world of Miss, since she had already participated in the Miss Normandy competition in 2021 and even finished first runner-up, the second step on the podium. “There, I was really very proud and I realized that finally, I could go far,” she explains.

“Following this experience, I had reached the age limit because at the time there were still age criteria, I was 24 years old so I could no longer represent myself. (…) But the following year, the age criteria were changed and suddenly, I said to myself, ‘why not try the experience again this year'”, she also says.

Saying she is “ready to repeat this crazy experience”, the young woman also claims to be “ready to take on this role, from Miss Normandy to Miss France”.
