A new jewelry store opened its doors in the shopping mall of the Leclerc center in Sainte-Verge on Friday, November 15, 2024. It is Histoire d’or, a brand with more than 400 stores in France and the world. A national company which was able to launch in Thouarsais thanks to a well-known face in the local business community. That of Nathalie Maintrot-Lacroix, daughter of Denis Maintrot and granddaughter of Jean-Pierre Maintrot. The latter created the Pantashop brand and network of stores. In Thouars, a shop was located on rue Porte-de-Paris. Where the community of communes of Thouarsais is currently building the future intercommunal media library.
