As promised for days, snow is there this Thursday, November 21, 2024. Since this morning, the snowflakes have been falling over part of France.
Météo France notes snow on the plains from northern Brittany to the Grand Est, via Normandy. But also “sometimes heavy snow in the Alps”. This Thursday, 54 departments are also placed on orange alert for snow, ice and/or wind.

1 p.m. – Only 56 departments left on orange vigilance
Shortly after 1 p.m., Météo France lowered the number of departments placed on orange vigilance. From 58 this morning, there are now 56 to be under reinforced surveillance for risk of snow-ice and strong winds.
12:35 p.m. – Update on traffic in the south of the Channel
The bad weather on Thursday, November 21 caused several accidents and left a few injured in the south of the Channel. In total, 41 firefighters were mobilized for interventions on the road, reports our local editorial staff La Gazette de la Manche.
