The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Taroudant have managed to solve the mystery of the double murder that shook the city, at the beginning of the week. The bodies of the young woman aged 18 and her neighbor, in her twenties, were discovered last Monday inside an abandoned house in Douar “Ain Al Medyour”, in the commune of Machraâ Al Ain.
The crime
The investigation conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie services after the macabre discovery made it possible to identify the main suspect. The latter was arrested before the arrest of two other people suspected of being involved in this crime.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the young man tried to defend himself against a stabbing attack perpetrated by the suspects. The latter allegedly attacked him in order to force him to abandon the young girl they had gang-raped before killing her by strangulation. Hit in the neck, his companion lost his life as a result of his stab wounds.
After committing the crime, not knowing what to do with the bodies, the suspects transported them on a three-wheeler to bury them in the village cemetery. Along the way, the accomplices change their minds and decide to head towards the ruined house. They abandon the two corpses there while trying to disguise their crime in an attempt to cover their tracks and mislead the investigators.

According to local media, gang rape was not the suspects’ primary motive. It was said to be a matter of retaliation and a settling of scores between the main suspect and the young man who was killed. A major argument reportedly broke out between the two men last week.
Holding a grudge, the alleged killer will track his rival on the day of the crime until he surprises him with his girlfriend in a remote corner of a public garden. Acting under the influence of alcohol, the three accomplices allegedly threatened their victims with knives before the situation degenerated, leading to the tragic death of the couple.
