The 1is October 2022, the 1.001 Animal Souls association, recently created in Argenton-sur-Creuse, organized its first local event, a dog walk. The arrival of around thirty participants justified its approach focused on the care of all types of pets in need: stray, mistreated or abandoned.

To achieve this mission, it collects them, works to facilitate their adoption, or helps municipalities carry out sterilization campaigns in their territory.

Forty exhibitors and activities

She also organizes outings, and even orienteering races to allow dogs and their owners to have a good time and develop their bond during an outdoor activity.

The association, which had already participated last fall in the Argenton-sur-Creuse associations forum, will be celebrating the World Day Against the Abandonment of Pets on Saturday, June 29, by organizing a thematic event, in collaboration with Peluche 36, which works to defend dogs and cats.

More than forty exhibitors will be present in the multipurpose hall with accessories, handcrafted creations, and products dedicated to food, education, and the well-being of our animal friends.

Owners and their dogs will be able to take part in a canicross

Demonstrations and introductions to dog sports are also scheduled. “There will be coursing, the popular discipline of canicross, biting sessions, obedience, and various workshops to do with your dog,” explains Anaïs Trinquart, the president of the association 1,001 Âmes animaux, which hopes to retain as much of the public as possible with a food truck and a free concert of French varieties.
