The United States Embassy in kyiv resumes operations on Thursday after being briefly closed on Wednesday due to threats of attack, the State Department announced.

The embassy had specified on its website that it had received “precise information concerning a possible significant air attack on November 20” and therefore decided to temporarily cease its activities.

BRITISH MISSILES

The Ukrainian army fired British long-range Storm Shadow missiles for the first time to reach Russia after obtaining the green light from the United Kingdom, British media reported on Wednesday.

Several missiles were launched at at least one Russian military target, reports the Financial Times, citing three anonymous sources including a Western official informed of the strike.

Contacted by AFP, neither Downing Street nor the British Ministry of Defense confirmed this information.
