A project that sparked debate
This should allow the brand to concretely embark on this project which has fueled the debate for several years. At the end of April 2024, the Departmental Commercial Development Commission also gave the green light, confirming its opinion given in February 2023. But in May 2023, the Cnac took action and issued an unfavorable opinion, proving in favor, initially time, to Jean-Marc Fournel, former mayor of Longwy, who had launched an appeal against the opening of Primark, in the name of defending the businesses of the Longovician city center.
