It was not quite 7 p.m. on Thursday June 27, 2024, when the firefighters were called following a traffic accident in Bretteville-sur-Ay (Manche). It involved two vehicles, near the hamlet Girault, on departmental road 650. The alert was given using the eCall device, which allows emergency services to be automatically contacted in the event of an accident.
28-year-old woman and 80-year-old man injured
Five people were in the passenger compartments. Two of them were injured: a 28-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man. Both were transported to the Saint-Lô hospital.
Sixteen firefighters from the Barneville, La Haye, Pirou and Portbail emergency centres intervened. The SAMU was also present.
