He was 4h15Thursday November 21, 2024, when the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Haute-Garonne was required to intervene on a fire that occurred in a residence located at 17 avenue du 14ᵉ Régiment d’Infanterie, Saint-Agne districthas Toulouse.

Six people rescued by firefighters on the upper floors

A car was in fact on fire in the basement of this building comprising five floorsleading to significant smoke releases throughout the building.

SDIS 31 specifies that “the action of the firefighters made it possible to carry out the rescue of six people located on the upper floors.

41 residents evacuated in the middle of the night

The building had to be completely evacuatedthe time of the intervention. In total, these are precisely 41 people who left their homes in the middle of the night. Apart from the six victims taken care of by the firefighters — but left behind after SAMU control – the incident fortunately caused no deaths or serious injuries.

This intervention mobilized 27 firefighters from the Ramonville-Buchens and Toulouse-Carsalade emergency centers.
