Dissatisfied with the responses provided by the State, they are now planning actions towards “strategic points” in the region.

They spent the night in front of the prefecture gates. The demonstrators from the Lot-et-Garonne Rural Coordination remained mobilized in front of the prefecture while their two co-presidents, Karine Duc and José Pérez were heard by the prefect.
Around 11 p.m., while the co-presidents refused to go out “without concrete guarantees from the minister or the Prime Minister”they were “put out” by law enforcement. “We presented our demands to them once again, but we were never heardsays José Pérez, leaving the prefecture.
The only answer we have is that we were taken out.

For his part, the prefect indicates that he is “income from all agricultural support measures implemented at national and departmental level since the start of the year. He also recalled the remarks of the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty regarding the overtransposition of standards.
In the crowd, the eyes reddened by the smoke also hide angry tears. “We won't have an answer, neither tonight, nor at the beginning of the year. We won't have any today or tomorrow, all we have to do is die.” cowardly, her voice breaking with a sob, Karine Duc. “We will fight”, retorts José Perez.
Outside, around midnight, the demonstrators unleashed their anger: a fire was lit in front of the prefecture gates where tons of slurry, hay and waste were dumped throughout the day. Quickly extinguished by the firefighters, held back by certain members of the agricultural union who will try a few minutes later to relight it. Police officers, equipped with armored vehicles, are then positioned between the firefighters and the farmers to prevent a resurgence.
After this episode, tension fell slightly between the demonstrators and the police. The farmers in the yellow hats still stayed all night before resuming action this Wednesday, November 20. “We are going to go to strategic points like purchasing centers and join our colleagues, some of whom are already there,” promised José Pérez this Tuesday evening.
A gathering is planned for 9 a.m. in Agen to organize the operations. According to several sources, farmers could go to Bordeaux, but also to Montauban or even Mont-de-Marsan.
