Welcome » Security » Israel-Hamas war: Netanyahu offers $5 million bounty per hostage released in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised $5 million per hostage released in the Gaza Strip.

The head of the Israeli government remains determined to obtain the release of hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. “Anyone who brings a hostage to us will find with us a safe way for them and their families to get out (of Gaza). We will also give a reward of five million dollars for each hostage,” Netanyahu said in a video filmed inside the Gaza Strip, according to a statement from his office.

According to Israeli authorities, several Israeli civilians remain hostages of Hamas in the Palestinian territory. The announcement comes amid intense conflict between Israel and Hamas, with ongoing efforts to locate and free the hostages. Netanyahu also reaffirmed that one of the goals of the war is that “Hamas does not rule in Gaza.”
