Paul Teal, who played Josh Avery in the cult series The Scott Brotherspassed away following stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed last April, the American actor led a courageous fight against illness before succumbing in a hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. His fiancée, Emilia Torello, and several members of the cast of the series paid tribute to him.

Death of Paul Teal: poignant tributes
Despite the severity of his illness, Paul Teal never gave up. His fiancée, Emilia Torello, shared a moving tribute on Instagram:
He was the most talented man I had ever met. When he set out to do something, nothing could stop him. (…) Although a part of me died with you, I promise to fight to find the joy of living as hard as you fought to live each day.
This loss also upset his former colleagues at The Scott Brothers. Bethany Joy Lenz, who played Haileysent him a tender message:
Paul Teal was the type of person who effortlessly lit up a room. His bright smile, his contagious laugh and his kindness of heart made you want to be near him (…) We stayed in touch intermittently. I wish there were more. I would have liked to call all the times I wanted to do it but got distracted. Life is short. That’s what I can’t stop thinking this week. Life is short.
An actor dedicated to his work until the end
Sophia Bush, alias Brooke Davisalso wanted to share a few words with him. The actress who is about to join the cast of Grey’s Anatomy published in his Instagram story:
Incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Paul Teal. We were just starting to watch his episodes in @dramaqueensoth (his podcast, editor’s note) and he was so talented.
Despite his health, Paul Teal continued his artistic activities, finding comfort in his work. He had recently participated in the filming of The Hunting Wivesa series he considered as moral support essential. At the same time, he was very active in the local theater in Wilmington, his hometown. His death leaves an immense void for his loved ones, his colleagues and his admirers. Paul Teal will be remembered as a talented actor and a committed manwho faced adversity with dignity and determination.
