In a match between two undefeated teams, AS Passage got the better of Sainte-Bazeille, leader until then, with a close score of 15 to 13 at the Théo Roland stadium.

A valuable victory which allows the Passageois to take the lead in the group. The locals started the match well, quickly opening the score with a try from Cata, then a penalty from Nassik (8-0, 14th). But the visitors, supported by a very efficient hinge at the foot, put the pressure on throughout the game. The turning point of the match came in the 60th minute with a general brawl. The Sainte-Bazeille flyhalf, Altès, received a red card, as did Fabien Lafrogne for Passage.

Deprived of their playing master, the visitors lost their effectiveness in the occupation, while the Passageois were able to take advantage of it to score a try on the hour mark and definitively take the advantage (15-13, 63rd). Although dominant at the end of the match, “Titou” Tarozzi’s men could have taken cover earlier.

But this victory, won with combativeness, allows them to confirm their good form and continue their series of invincibility.
