Searches in the rubble of the residence destroyed by flames Friday evening on 120th Street in Saint-Georges are over.
This was confirmed by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) this Monday morning, while specifying that the investigation is continuing.
A body was found during procedures at the weekend, but its identity has not yet been released.
As a reminder, a major fire broke out late yesterday afternoon in a residential building located on 120th Street, in Saint-Georges. The firefighters’ intervention took place in particularly difficult conditions, with the building already completely engulfed in flames when they arrived. Witnesses had reported a loud explosion before the fire, suggesting the presence of flammable materials on site.
