The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 should cost 1,339.99 euros for the version with 256 GB of internal storage, compared to 1,466.99 euros for the edition with double the storage. For comparison, you should know that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 from the same brand is, for its part, priced at no less than 1,199 euros with us. This is the price for the edition with 256 GB of memory, but you have to count more, again, to take advantage of 512 GB. Of course, remember that the rumors concerning its successor must be considered with caution, because the manufacturer has not officially confirmed them. This is quite usual for the latter.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 technical sheet is not official either, for the moment. However, it is assumed that the mobile will be presented at a traditional Unpacked conference, organized on July 10. This is just before Amazon Prime Day is organized, since the event is scheduled for July 16 and 17. Just in time to perhaps treat yourself to double-digit discounts on the new smartphone, not to mention possible launch offers. It is therefore not uncommon to see Samsung offer, for example, free wireless headphones with the purchase of a high-end phone when it is just starting out on the market.
Supposed Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 spec sheet
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 could first of all allow us to benefit from a much better back camera. The rear sensor would indeed give pride of place to a definition of fifty megapixels for an f/1.8 aperture, compared to only twelve megapixels with the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Here again, these figures are still only at the stage of hypothesis, and only the official technical characteristics will allow us to see it more clearly. These should be revealed during the Unpacked event, or even in more detail immediately afterwards, in a dedicated press release.
As for performance, Samsung probably reserves the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip from Qualcomm for its Galaxy Z Flip 6. The associated volume of RAM remains to be defined, but eight gigabytes like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should be more than enough. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor has already been seen in around thirty premium mobiles, such as the ROG Phone 8 Pro from Asus or the Xiaomi 14. A device which also offers powerful “high-flying“, as demonstrated by its test in real conditions.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 expected to be announced at the same time
During the Unpacked event which will announce the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, we assume that its manufacturer should also announce another folding smartphone. This will undoubtedly be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, whose hinge this time follows lengthwise. A screen of more than eight inches is expected on this model, which could even be entitled to an “Ultra” version faster than ever. First images of the device have already leaked to the specialist press, suggesting that the design is quite close to the previously released Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
According to figures from Statista, Samsung is today the leading seller of folding smartphones in the world with more than 50% market share. Huawei, whose comeback on the tablet market has just eclipsed Apple from first place in China, is second with around 31% market share. Motorola, Honor, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo sharing the rest of the pie.
Apple is still expected to be around the corner, but is not expected to unveil a folding iPhone until at least 2027.
