Mysterious accident at Perreynear Pont-Audemer (Eure). During the night of Sunday 17 to Monday 18 November 2024, a house was ravaged by fire after being hit by a carwe learn from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis).

It was approximately 2h30 when the firefighters were called “by a gentleman who thinks of a house fire, seeing flames in the distance”, in the former town of Fourmetot.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they noticed that a car had hit a house and caught fire, with the fire spreading to the building.

Fortunately, the house was empty of occupants, uninhabited because under a peril order.

The twenty firefighters mobilized therefore concentrated their efforts on the vehicle. Here too, fortunately, the car was empty of occupants. According to Sdis, “the car was stolen at night in the same village.

The house was completely destroyed by flames. Around 6:15 a.m., firefighters were still clearing the area.

A gendarmerie investigation will have to shed light on this strange affair.
