Two dead in a road accident between Argentan and Occagnes

Dramatic road accident this Tuesday June 25, 2024, between Argentan and Occagnesin L’Orne, on the departmental road 958 (route de Caen). The drivers of two light vehicles were killed.

The events took place a few hundred meters from the exit of the road Moulins-sur-Ornein direction of Caenat the top of a hill.

THE two women around fifty years old were alone on board, one in a Renault Clio, the other in a Fiat 500.

The staff of the SMUR and firefighters who came with two victim rescue vehicles and means of extrication were unable to do anything to save the two victims trapped in their passenger compartment.

The first elements suggest a face-to-face meeting.

Discomfort, technical fault, carelessness, attempt to avoid an animal…? L’investigation starts for the gendarmerie present on the scene to try to determine the circumstances of this accident.

THE Department services are also mobilized and have cut off traffic for a good part of the morning between the Argentan north exit roundabout and the Nécy roundabout.
