More than a month after the death of Michel Blanc, Thierry Lhermitte (71 years old), his sidekick from the Splendid troupe, broke the silence. Thierry Lhermitte thus recounted his last memories with the interpreter of Jean-Claude Dusse about the book “Le Splendid par le Splendid”, which brings together photos and texts of the troop. A work in which the two actors had actively participated.
“At first, I only read what I had written to check the bullshit,” explained the man who plays Popeye in “Les Bronzés”. The day Michel died (Editor’s note: last October 3), I did not sleep, I read everything he had written, it upset me,” he confided to the Parisian.
“And then I read what everyone had done and it was so cool. (…) I found the texts so warm. (…) These are love letters that we write to each other,” adds the actor.
And the actor concludes: “What I said to Michel in it was recorded a month before his death, I was happy with the idea of him discovering it, but he must not have had the time to read it. The confirmation was three days before his disappearance. Has he read everything? I don’t know.”
