After a fierce fight on the field, France won against New Zealand on Saturday November 16. The Blues snatched the victory by one point, in a melting Stade de France.
Saturday November 16 at the Stade de France, joy overwhelmed players and supporters. The French XV beat the All Blacks for the third time in a row. “Winning the All Blacks is always special.”recalled Antoine Dupont, the team captain, after the match. The All Blacks' haka first set the tone for the suspenseful match. The first half was dominated by the New Zealanders with a first try scored in the 9th minute, then another in the 27th.
A test of strength later, Romain Buros, for his first selection, made the hour of revolt ring. Returning from the locker room, the Blues resisted, making the crowd exult. On a pass from Thomas Ramos, young Louis Bielle-Barrey went off in a crazy race, bringing the Blues to 24-17. The Blues finally maintained a one-point lead and won 30-29.
