An Israeli company will build a new prison in New York.
Electra’s subsidiaries, Hellman Electric and FWSims, were selected to lead the design and construction of electromechanical works for a new prison in the borough of Queens, New York.
The planning phase will begin immediately, and work is expected to be completed by August 2030.
The Electra groupled by Itamar Deutscher, announced that its subsidiaries Hellman Electric and FWSims, through Electra USA, were chosen Friday to supervise this project worth 3.1 billion shekels (approximately $829 million).
These companies were retained as subcontractors by the Leon D. DeMatteis Construction Group, which signed an agreement with the City of New York for the construction of this prison, a total investment amounting to approximately 15 billion shekels (approximately 4 billion dollars).
In this context, Hellman Electric will take care of the electrical work, while FWSims will take charge of the majority of the mechanical work.

Planning has already begun, and work will continue until August 2030.

This success is in addition to other projects won by the company in recent months. Work has already begun and is expected to be completed by summer 2026, in preparation for the next football season.
