A man armed with a knife took refuge in a pizzeria in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine) with hostages this Saturday early in the afternoon.

The Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) was deployed.

A security perimeter has been established in the neighborhood.

A man armed with a knife took refuge in a pizzeria in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine) with several hostages this Saturday early in the afternoon, TF1/LCI learned from a police source.

A column from the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) was deployed, our journalist noted on site, and negotiations began between the man and the police. The perpetrator of the hostage taking is the son of the restaurant owner, unknown to the police, but with a drug addiction profile, according to our information.

An established security perimeter

There are three or four hostages at this stage, exclusively restaurant employees, according to our information.

Around fifteen firefighters were also sent to the scene and a perimeter was established in the neighborhood.
