This is a scenario that happens every season: one or more candidates from the Star Academy although appreciated by the public, is eliminated from the competition! This year was no exception to the rule with the elimination ofEmma this Friday, November 15, 2024. The candidate, nominated against Masséo et Charleswas not saved by the students!
For the second consecutive week, due to rugby on Saturday, the prime time of the Star Academy was exceptionally broadcast on a Friday this November 15, 2024. In this issue of the show, entitled “the bonus of surprises”, the students, and even Nikos Aliagasthe host of the program, had their share of twists and turns… until the outcome!
Star Academy: a bonus full of twists and turns
Indeed, this prime time of the Star Academy was marked by the arrival of the brothers of Marguerite at the end of his performance with Julien Doré. Grandma and girlfriendUlysses also arrived on the set, just like the darling of Maureen. While they were unaware, Julie shared a duet with Louane et Ebony with She lied. While Nikos Aliagas' mother came to surprise her son on set.
Furthermore, the nominees, Charles, Emma and Masséo performed the title “With class” of Crow. The latter joined the nominees to sing his song. Then, they each defended their place. While Emma and Masséo have a good popularity rating on social networks, it was Charles who was saved by the public to everyone's surprise. Thus, the students had to make a choice between Emma and Masséo. Two weeks earlier, the two students were on the stage of NRJ Music Awards to sing with David Guetta.
At the end of the votes, Masséo and Emma found themselves tied. Thus, as the rule dictates, Charles, who was saved by the public, had to decide between them. After a long moment of suspense, he chose to give his vote to Masséo. Thus, Emma is therefore eliminated from the Star Academy and collapsed in tears in the arms of her comrades. Nikos Aliagas admits: “One of the best is eliminated”.

While the students are sad as they board the bus to return to the castle, Emma is still in tears. She admits: “It’s hard… My heart hurts there. It's my dream of the Star Academy that stops (…) The path stops and it hurts my heart, because I dreamed of making the tour and the final like all the academicians”.

Star Academy: Internet users furious after Emma's elimination
Nikos Aliagas, Michael Goldman and the teachers tried to reassure the young woman about her future and her career. Emma thanked the teachers, the coaches, the production and the public. Furthermore, on social networks, if some considered that it was the best bonus of the season for the moment, this elimination of Emma does not pass. Viewers are in shock and angry at this elimination, a week after that of Noah.

Audiences on the rise for Star Academy on TF1
This new premium of the Star Academy attracted 3.12 million viewers, or 16.8% market share among those aged four and over, between 9:13 p.m. and 10:39 p.m. Over one week, the TV show increased its audience share by 0.6 points. TF1 ranks second in audiences, behind the new episode of Astrid and Raphaëlle on France 2.
The rest of the show brought together 2.82 million followers, or 27% of the entire public, between 10:48 p.m. and midnight. Over one week, the program increased its audience share by 3.9 points. On commercial targets, this edition of the Star Academy attracted on average 34% of women responsible for purchases under 50 years old, 31% among 25-49 year olds, 34% among 15-24 year olds, 42% among 15-34 year olds and 32% among children aged 4-14 years old.
Finally, Star Academy: return to the castle with Emma's reaction following her elimination, attracted 828,000 curious people, or 19.1% of the public present, between 00:07 and 1:19. Over one week, the show gained 3.1 audience share points. On commercial targets, the show hosted by Nikos Aliagas and Karima Charni attracted 34% of women responsible for purchases under 50, 42% of 15-24 year olds and 40% of 15-34 year olds.
Next week, November 23, 2024, Star Academy will be back on the Saturday slot in prime time on TF1. It will be the “alumni bonus”, where former students from previous seasons will come and sing with the new promotion. In the meantime, the daily program can be found from Monday to Friday at 5:30 p.m., Saturday at 5:15 p.m. and Sunday at 4:10 p.m.
