Adaptation of the eponymous and successful novel by Laetitia Colombani, “La Tresse” weaves the destiny of three women from different continents: there is Smita in India, Guilia in Sicily, and Sarah in Canada. The first wants to donate her hair during a traditional pilgrimage, with her daughter, against the advice of her caste and her husband; the second takes over the small family wig company after the sudden death of her father, while the third, affected by cancer, must go and choose her new hair…

    A story which superimposes then interweaves these destinies in the form of a feminine and feminist struggle against social, cultural and professional adversities. If the film, directed by the writer, is a little short of her novel, its epic breath takes us on a journey: a welcome first taste of vacation to clear our minds before summer and the elections!

    Movie. Marion and Ben (Camille Chamoux and Jonathan Cohen) meet on Tinder. Being single is the only thing they have in common: she is a comic book artist, he is a salesman. She, a bobo in shared accommodation, him funny but a little stuck living with his mother… However, after a torrid first night and a romantic sunrise in Paris, he suggests that she go on vacation… To Bulgaria, right at the place where everyone had to surrender. Except that Marion wants to live with locals and discover the culture of the country, while he dreams of an “all inclusive” hotel to sip cocktails on the beach. But opposites attract, it’s well known.

    A romantic comedy with a solid duo, supported by Camille Cottin. And a successful first film – which went a little unnoticed in 2019 – perfect for waiting before going on vacation!

Accompanied by her husband, Jean, a camera operator and her producer and friend, Jérémy Michalak, the young woman in a wheelchair meets a ballerina in front of the Sydney Opera House, goes surfing for the first time with a caring team (she can die if she ingests seawater into her lungs) and cuddles a baby koala. All in grandiose landscapes, from the bush to Byron Bay.

    Suffering from spinal muscular atrophy which prevents her from moving around, she takes a quirky and joyful look at the world, despite the few hard blows she goes through without hiding, in such a different environment!
