The Is-sur-Tille firefighters association recently warned, on his Facebook page residents of the Issoise region faced with fake calendar sellers who pretended to be firefighters. Indeed, the president of the association, Kévin Coster, explains to us that “this is not something usual. Especially in the countryside. »

They filed a complaint

“However, we learned that retirees in the sector had been cheated out of €400 by fake firefighters selling calendars. Their family members alerted us to this and we said it couldn’t be us because we hadn’t received our calendars at that time. So they filed a complaint.”

“A firefighter card that we can present to people”

Faced with this phenomenon, Kevin Coster indicates that: “In principle people recognize us because it is rare that we change tours. In addition, we regularly display a trombinoscope in our calendars so that we can be identified. Finally, we have a firefighter card that we can show to people if they ask us for it. And for members of the association who are no longer in service, we provide them with a certificate.”
