A series of explosions took place this Friday in southern Beirut. The day before, Israeli raids left at least 12 dead, including eight rescuers in eastern Lebanon. Behind the scenes, diplomacy is active to try to put an end to the conflict.

Strikes, which did not cause any casualties, and which came a few hours after a call to evacuate published by the Israeli army.
This area is regularly targeted by the IDF. According to the local press, at least eleven strikes took place in this neighborhood in less than 48 hours. The Israeli army says it is targeting Hezbollah weapons warehouses and command centers.
On Thursday, Israeli raids left at least twelve dead, including eight rescue workers near the town of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon.
These strikes come as diplomatic efforts to obtain a ceasefire are increasing.
The United States ambassador in Beirut announced that he had transmitted, Thursday evening, a truce proposal to the President of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri. A text that Hezbollah agreed to examine, according to the Reuters news agency.
This Friday in Beirut, Nabih Berri and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati also met with Ali Larijani, senior official of the Republic of Iran.
