A woman was found in critical condition Thursday evening after a fire at the corner of Durocher and Deschamps streets in Ottawa.
Emergency services responded around 9 p.m. to a residence on Deschamps Street for a fire, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
An adult woman was found in critical condition and resuscitation maneuvers were initiated by paramedics and firefighters. She was taken to hospital and her condition is life-threatening

Paramedics also indicate that a mattress was on fire when first responders arrived, but are not currently able to confirm the link with the victim’s condition.
