CONSUMPTION: The “100% Côte-d’Or” brand has nearly 480 approved

This Thursday, June 20, the Cité des vins de Beaune hosted the 14th approval committee for the territorial brand Savoir-Faire 100% Côte-d’Or. The Department is pleased to be approaching 500 approved in 5 years.

Press release from the Côte-d’Or departmental council of June 21, 2024:

Nearly 480 approved with 31 new approvals issued and, a symbol, 21 chef ambassadors: these are the key figures to remember from the 14th approval committee of the “Savoir-faire 100% Côte-d’Or” brand. The latter was held this Thursday at the Cité des Climats et des Vins in Beaune with the presentation of the Ambassador plaque to Christophe Maisières, chef of the discovery bar Les Accords, a distinction which testifies to the commitment of great chefs and great establishments of the department:

· Louis-Philippe Vigilant, 2-star Michelin chef at the La Côte-d’Or restaurant at the Bernard Loiseau restaurant in Saulieu, becomes the 21st chef ambassador for 100% Côte-d’Or

· Julien Girard, chef at Château de Saulon in Saulon-la-Rue (previously at Château de Gilly before the establishment closed its doors for renovations)
· Alexandre Clochet-Rousselet, chef at the Hôtel Golf du Château de Chailly in Chailly-sur-Armançon
· Jérémy Combeau, head of the Gentilhommière in Nuits-Saint-Georges
· Gonzalo Pineiro, chef of the restaurant at the Mercure Hotel, Château Bourgogne, in Dijon
· Maxime Lesobre, new chef of Château de Courban.

“We had 15 ambassadors before this committee. With these 6 new distinctions, we now have 21 chef ambassadors. 21 is symbolic and I propose that this number remain. The club of ambassador chefs will now be a club of 21 members and it is a real pride that the 21st ambassador is the starred chef of the Relais Bernard Loiseau, a formidable gastronomic reference who has always had a special place on the map of France for the greats. restaurants, and even internationally,” rejoiced President Sauvadet, who paid tribute to Bernard Loiseau, who left us 21 years ago. From now on, the other chefs will be distinguished as “Chefs Côte-d’Or”.

A few months before blowing out its 5th candle – an anniversary which will be celebrated during the International and Gastronomic Fair in Dijon next November – the “Savoir-Faire 100% Côte-d’Or” brand has already become a valuable benchmark for consumers concerned about knowing where the products they buy come from. “We are responsible for this guarantee of quality and authenticity to consumers,” recalled François Sauvadet, at a time when audits are being carried out among those approved by Bureau Veritas.

Unanimously, the members of the approval committee, which brings together the consular chambers and Umih 21 around the Department, were delighted with the success experienced by the brand and its key role in the influence of the Côte-d’Or and the development economics of the sectors. Because the brand has indeed become an accelerator for the reconstruction of economic sectors like what has been put in place around milk, mustard, hops and even pig farming.
