Yoann Lecot was tried this Friday, June 21, 2024, by the Manche Assize Court of Appeal, for murder of a spouse. He was accused of having killed Patrick Begin on December 1, 2020, in Honfleur (Calvados). At the end of his trial, he managed to obtain a sentence lower than the 25 years handed down at first instance. He was sentenced to 19 years in prison.

The shock after three days of hearing. When Yoann Lecot was sentenced, the family of Patrick Begin, his victim, collapsed in tears. The 39-year-old man was tried on appeal by the Manche Assize Court, this Friday, June 21, 2024, in Coutances. He was accused of having killed his partner, 63 years old at the time of the events, in their apartment in Honfleur (Calvados), on 1is December 2020. Seventeen wounds were found on the body of the deceased, including one fatal, the knife having passed through the lung and the aorta.
