The President of the Republic spoke to BFMTV a few hours before the start of the -Israel football match which will take place under high tension.

Faced with anti-Semitism, he calls for “not to give in.” Emmanuel Macron spoke briefly this Thursday, November 14 at the microphone of BFMTV a few hours before the start of the football match which will pit France against Israel at the Stade de France.

A sporting meeting without much at stake but which takes place in the context of conflict in the Middle East between the Hebrew State and Hamas since October 7, 2023 and after violence that occurred in Amsterdam.

“We will not give in to anti-Semitism anywhere and violence, including in the French Republic, will never prevail and neither will intimidation,” declared the Head of State to BFMTV.

At the beginning of November, supporters of the Tel Aviv football club were attacked in the streets of the Dutch capital. An event which motivated the French authorities to strengthen security around and in the Stade de France.
