Bad luck for Katie Archibald. The double Olympic track cycling champion will not compete in the 2024 Paris Games (July 26 – August 11) after breaking her leg. An unfortunate domestic accident for the Briton, who was aiming for a place in the team pursuit, madison and omnium.

It’s really down to bad luck. Katie Archibald is out of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (July 26 – August 11) after being injured at home by falling on a step in her garden. The verdict is terrible for the double Olympic track cycling champion, since she suffers from a broken leg.

Katie Archibald won the Olympic titles in the team pursuit in 2016 in Rio then in the Madison in 2021 in Tokyo. In Paris, the 30-year-old runner claimed a place on the Great Britain team in the team pursuit, the Madison and the omnium.

A lack of weight for the British, since she has also won five world titles, two in team pursuit (2014 and 2023), omnium (2017 and 2021) and one in the American (2018).
