The LFI deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis Thomas Portes announced on Wednesday that he had filed a complaint, in particular for “death threat”after receiving a missive promising him a “bullet in the head”. “You have family, they’re going to get acid in their mouth.” (et) “then you’re going to take a bullet”can we read in particular on the handwritten letter, consulted by AFP, and also revealed by Liberation.

On the back of the sheet there is also a drawn swastika. The parliamentarian indicated that he had received it in his mail to the National Assembly.

“A target of the far right”

“I have been a target of the far right for years. In 2018 Génération identitaire sued me, which I won, because I had described them as neo-Nazis. It has obviously accelerated since I became a parliamentarian”declared the MP, contacted by AFP, specifying that he has already filed a complaint on several occasions for death threats received by mail, by telephone or by messages on social networks. “When you are a political leader you are unfortunately used to it.
